Frequently Asked Questions
Visiting the Two Bit Game Room arcade and retro lounge
Booking & Admission
How do I request an appointment to visit the game room?
Booking a session is quick and simple! Click the "Make an Appointment" link on the Two Bit Game Room homepage to request a 3-hour time slot. Select your preferred date and time and input your group size. Because slots fill up quickly—especially on weekends—we highly recommend scheduling your visit a few days in advance.
How much does admission cost, and do the games require quarters or tokens?
Admission is flat-rate at $15 per person for a 3-hour session of unlimited play. Every single one of our 90+ classic arcade cabinets, pinball machines, and retro video game consoles is set to 100% free-play. You never need to bring quarters, tokens, or buy gaming cards to play anything in the room.
I'm just coming to watch my kids/friends play—do I still have to pay admission?
Yes, admission is $15 for everyone entering the game room, whether you plan to play the games or not. As a small business, we charge a flat entry fee for all guests because Two Bit Game Room is a complete, interactive experience that goes beyond just the arcade cabinets. Even if you aren't gaming, your admission lets you hang out in our nostalgic 1980s lounge, browse our vintage pop-culture memorabilia displays, read classic gaming magazines, play board games, enjoy free Wi-Fi, snack on complimentary popcorn, and visit with Jonesy, our friendly arcade cat.
Do you accept walk-ins, or can I just stop by to look around?
No, we are open strictly by appointment only and require at least 24 hours' advance notice for all visits. Because we operate as both a private event space and a commercial arcade, we schedule our staff and open hours based on confirmed appointments. Booking your visit in advance ensures that our classic arcade machines are powered up, the room is fully prepared, and your group enjoys a relaxed, uncrowded gaming experience with zero wait times. But don't worry—we're happy to open the full arcade for individuals and small groups, as well as large parties. So please call or visit our website to request an appointment and reserve your spot at the Two Bit Game Room. We're located just two blocks from the State Capitol in St. Paul.

Events, Rules & Accessibility
Can I rent out the entire game room for a private party or corporate event?
Absolutely! Two Bit Game Room is a premier St. Paul venue for everything from corporate team-building events and out-of-town family reunions to milestone 40th and 50th birthday parties or retirement celebrations. Our nostalgic space is also a popular, unique choice for wedding receptions and co-ed baby showers, as well as a creative location for video shoots, commercial photography sessions, and school field trips. Renting the space gives your group complete, private access to all 90+ games and our lounge. Please use our website contact form or call us directly to discuss our private event rental pricing, capacity, and availability.
Do you accommodate field trips for neurodivergent groups, schools, veterans, or adult day care centers?
Absolutely! Two Bit Game Room is a popular, highly supportive destination for community day trips in the Twin Cities. We regularly host specialized field trips for neurodivergent youth, adaptive school groups, veterans' organizations, recovery groups, and adult day care centers catering to individuals with cognitive or sensory needs. Because our interactive showroom operates strictly by appointment, your organization is guaranteed a calm, uncrowded, and private-feeling environment with zero long lines or overwhelming crowds. To support the community teams who make these outings possible, we are proud to offer a heavily discounted admission rate of just $5 for working personal care assistants (PCAs) and chaperones.
Is Two Bit Game Room fully wheelchair accessible?
Our main showroom floor, retro arcade rows, and lounge area are fully wheelchair accessible with flat surfaces and wide pathways designed for easy maneuvering. However, because we operate out of a vintage commercial building, our restroom facility does have space limitations that may not fully accommodate all larger mobility devices or specific physical transfers. Please contact us directly before booking so we can discuss our exact layout and ensure a fantastic experience!
Is there an age limit, or are children allowed at Two Bit Game Room?
We welcome gamers of all generations, from collectors to young families! However, because our space proudly displays rare, fragile, and irreplaceable 1980s and 90s pop-culture memorabilia, all children under the age of 10 must be actively supervised by an adult at all times. To keep everyone safe and protect our vintage collection, we ask that parents ensure children treat the space like an interactive museum—which means no running, tag, or hide-and-seek around the cabinets. Keeping things calm ensures a safe, fun, and nostalgic environment for your group and all of our guests.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own outside food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy in our comfortable retro lounge area. We simply ask that you keep all food and drinks at the seating tables and away from the arcade cabinets and vintage console stations to protect the equipment.
Where is Two Bit Game Room located, and is parking available?
